Online gambling in Argentina: one set of rules per jurisdiction

Argentina has no single national online gambling licence. Each province and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires regulate separately, and an operator can be authorized in one and not in another.

There is no single national licence

Gambling in Argentina is regulated at provincial level. Each province and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires set their own rules, grant their own licences and supervise their own operators. That is why it makes no sense to call an online casino “authorized in Argentina” without saying where.

Who regulates where

Some of the authorities that appear in official sources and in operators' published terms:

The table is not exhaustive. Always check the official site of the authority where you live.

PBA and CABA are different

The confusion is common because both are called “Buenos Aires”. They are separate jurisdictions: the Province regulates gambling through IPLyC; the City, through the City Lottery. An authorization from one does not apply in the other. This comparison covers Buenos Aires Province only.

One brand, several jurisdictions

Many brands operate in more than one jurisdiction with different sites, offers and responsible companies. BetWarrior's terms show this clearly: they split promotions by jurisdiction, point to separate sections for Buenos Aires Province, the City, Mendoza and Santa Fe, and name a different offering company in each case.

A brand being authorized in one jurisdiction does not mean the same site, account or bonus works in another.

How to check where you live

  1. Identify the jurisdiction where you reside.
  2. Find the official site of that jurisdiction's gambling authority and its list of authorized operators.
  3. Check that the domain you plan to sign up on matches the list.
  4. Only sign up on the site authorized for your jurisdiction, and follow its terms.

LunargenCasino's scope

LunargenCasino compares operators authorized for Buenos Aires Province. If you live elsewhere, the authorization, bonus and terms information on this site may not apply to you. Read the Province guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is a .bet.ar casino legal everywhere in the country?

Not necessarily. Several jurisdictions use .bet.ar domains, but each authorization applies to its own jurisdiction. Check your province authority's list.

Why does LunargenCasino focus on Buenos Aires Province?

So that every authorization and bonus data point has a clear source. Mixing jurisdictions leads to mistakes such as showing an offer that doesn't apply where you live.
